Happy New Year, everyone. I hope you all have been able to enjoy yourself in the new year during this pandemic. I was fortunate enough to travel to New York for the New Year to visit some family and friends, and I had an amazing time. I’ve been home for about three weeks now, and I chose to focus on myself, what makes me happy, figuring out certain emotions I have, which hasn’t been easy, and my plans for 2021.
I know I have fallen off with my blogging, and I’ve received calls and texts asking, “When is the next blog?” Usually, when someone asks me, I always say this week, and that really was the plan, but something was always happening that had me second-guessing my content. Lately, I’ve been discouraged because I want to make sure everything I do is perfect. When it comes to blogging and even life in general, I realized sometimes I’m afraid of failure. Some might think that’s crazy because it’s just fashion blogging, but I want my blog to be more than just fashion, which is why I try to provide messages in each of my blogs. I know it’s many people who look forward to the messages at the end of blogs, so if I feel my message isn’t good enough, I tend not to put out content.
For the rest of the month, I will continue to stay true to my brand and work on being consistent in a few areas of my life. I challenge you all to pick one thing that you want to be more consistent with during these last few days in January.
Well, since I’m a little behind, I want to give you guys a look at my New Years’ Eve outfit. Usually, I would go for a blazer, but this year I wasn’t sure about my plans, so I decided to go for an abstract satin shirt, which would be a good choice for any event I decided to attend.

My shirt is an ASOS Men Design satin leaf print shirt. I like my clothes to fit a certain way, so I did get my shirt tailored in the shoulders and arms just because men’s shirts usually have broad shoulders, and I don’t, so I get that taken in for a more slim tight fit. My pants are from ASOS as well. This time I went with the extreme skinny smart pants in black instead of my regular super skinny or skinny pants. My shoes are from Aldo shoes, and they are women’s ankle boots. My watch is from Citizen Watch.

Continue to Bet On Yourself in 2021.
