Outfit Of The Day… Sunday in Richmond, VA

Happy Monday!! It’s a new week to refocus on yourself, your goals, or your summer bucket list. This weekend my mom and I took a road trip to Richmond, VA to hang out with some friends and we had such a good time. We laughed, had some great food, and of course, great drinks. Wherever you guys live, I know it’s scorching and if you were in Virginia like I was this weekend. It was 98 degrees yesterday. I had a whole outfit I wanted to put on yesterday, but it was so hot I didn’t even care to put it on. I went with a more chill outfit of the day and some lime green to add some color. You can’t go wrong with a white t-shirt, sweatshirts, and a pair of dope sneakers during the summer.

Whenever I’m out of town, I love to do Sunday brunch. Yesterday we went to a restaurant called First Watch in Richmond, Virginia. They do have other locations around the world as well if you’re interested in going, but if it’s not as good as it was at the place I had it at, don’t say I told you to go there lol. If you’ve gone before, let me know what to get the next time I go because that menu was overwhelming. I’m sure I missed out on some good menu choices. I just ordered a blueberry pancake, bacon, eggs, and grits real simple. For drinks, we ordered a pomegranate sunrise. We all enjoyed our food, and the drinks were amazing.

Although this weekend went by fast, I learned a few things, and it’s one thing I would like to share with you all. I have heard this before, but when you listen to something multiple times, it tends to start to click from different people. You never really know how someone was raised. Sometimes that may be why they treat you or act a certain way in certain situations. In saying that, I’m not saying that’s an excuse, nor is it okay if what they are doing is offending or making you feel away. Still, those may not be the people you need if things aren’t working like out how you would like, whether its friends, family, or a significant other. We often feel like someone should know when they are doing something that bothers us, and honestly, I do feel like most of the time they know, but sometimes they don’t. It always necessary to let someone know how you feel no matter what the situation is, and I know its easier said than done, but we all have to start somewhere.

Remember bet on yourself and work on accomplishing a goal this week whether its big or small.
